The Community Foundation of Nova Scotia to Launch First Ever Province-Wide Vital Signs.
On Tuesday, October 4th, 2011, The Community Foundation of Nova Scotia will launch Nova Scotia's Vital Signs. Vital Signs is a national program, pioneered by the Toronto Community Foundation in 2001, that highlights
community needs and opportunities and inspires civic engagement and public debate on the issues most important to our communities. Nova Scotia’s Vital Signs is the first Vital Signs in Canada to be completed on a provincial level. Report sponsors include The Nicholson Foundation, The JSF Fund @ The Community Foundation of Nova Scotia, Bell Aliant and KPMG.
Other Vital Signs done in Nova Scotia include Wolfville Community Fund's Vital Signs and Lunenburg County Vital Signs. Both can be found at www.cfns.ca.
The Community Foundation of Nova Scotia is a public foundation created by and for the people of Nova Scotia. They work with private donors, communities, and charitable organizations to stimulate charitable giving, establish permanent endowment funds, and support initiatives which make an ongoing difference in communities across Nova Scotia.
