Nova Scotia Government buys Nova Scotian.

DID YOU KNOW?

The Government Wants to Buy your

Products and Services

Our government wants to make Nova Scotia one of the cleanest environments and most sustainable economies in the world by 2020.  Sustainable government procurement is a key component of this strategy.

What is Sustainable Procurement? Sustainable procurement looks beyond the lowest cost to consider the economic, environmental and social impact of our purchases. The result is government purchasing that provides better value to government, and that is better for the environment, the local economy, and communities. Sustainable procurement is also responsible procurement that ensures resources are not diminished for future generations.

What’s at Stake?  Each year, the government of Nova Scotia spends more than $800 million on a wide range of goods, services and construction.
